Hand Building with Air Dry Clay Class for Kids (Ages 7-10)

Class Description

Welcome to our exciting Hand Building with Air Dry Clay class, specially designed for creative kids aged 7 to 10! In this fun and interactive workshop, young artists will explore the wonderful world of clay, learning essential hand-building techniques while unleashing their imagination.

What to Expect

In this hands-on class, each child will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn Basic Techniques: We will cover fundamental hand-building methods such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction. Kids will discover how to shape and mold clay into unique creations.
  • Create Unique Projects: Each session will focus on a different project, from whimsical animals and decorative pots to imaginative sculptures. Children will be encouraged to express their individuality and creativity in every piece they make.
  • Explore Textures and Colors: Our studio provides a variety of tools and materials for adding textures and colors to their clay projects. Kids can experiment with stamps, tools, and paints to bring their ideas to life.
  • Air Drying Process: Since we use air-dry clay, there’s no need for a kiln! Children will learn how to finish their pieces at home after the class, making it easy for them to showcase their artwork.

Supplies Provided

All necessary supplies are included in the class fee. This includes:

  • Air dry clay
  • Tools for shaping and texturing
  • Paints and brushes for decorating
  • Aprons to keep clothes clean
