Welcome to "Brushstrokes of History," a fun and engaging art class designed for artists aged 15-adult! In this interactive course, students will embark on an exciting journey through art history, discovering the lives and works of renowned artists from different eras. Class Objectives

  • Learn About Artists: Discover the fascinating stories behind famous artists such as Seurat, Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, and more.
  • Explore Techniques: Experiment with various artistic techniques inspired by these masters, using materials provided by our studio.
  • Understand Historical Significance: Gain insight into how each artist's life experiences shaped their work and contributed to art history.
  • Create Original Artworks: Apply what you've learned by creating your own masterpieces using techniques inspired by the featured artists.

Class Structure

Each class will include:

  1. Artist Spotlight: A brief introduction to the featured artist, highlighting key moments in their life and career.
  2. Technique Demonstration: A hands-on demonstration of a specific technique or style associated with the artist.
  3. Art Creation Time: Guided time for students to create their own artwork inspired by the artist’s style, using a variety of materials such as paints, pastels, and collage supplies.
