Advanced Drawing Studio (Ages 10–15)

Draw with greater skill, confidence, and intention.

Designed for young artists ages 10–15 with prior drawing experience, this 7-week class helps students move beyond the basics and take their work to the next level. Through longer, more in-depth projects, students will refine their technical skills while developing a more thoughtful and intentional approach to drawing.

Working with pencils, charcoal, ink, and more, students will explore value, perspective, composition, proportion, anatomy, texture, and expressive mark-making. Projects may include observational still life, figure drawing, architecture, landscapes, and imaginative illustration.

Each lesson combines technical instruction with individual guidance, encouraging students to solve increasingly complex visual problems, take creative risks, and push their abilities further.

During class, students will:

  • Refine drawing techniques through challenging, guided projects
  • Strengthen skills in value, perspective, proportion, and composition
  • Draw from observation, reference, and imagination
  • Experiment with a range of materials and expressive approaches
  • Create more complex, resolved drawings with confidence

Previous drawing experience is recommended. All materials are included.
