Drawing Foundations (Ages 7–10)

Every great drawing starts with learning to really see.

Designed for young artists ages 7–10 who love to draw, this 7-week class builds the skills and confidence to draw both what they see and what they imagine. Through engaging projects, students will explore a variety of drawing materials while learning the core building blocks of strong drawing.

Working with pencils, markers, charcoal, and more, students will explore line, shape, value, texture, and composition through projects that include observational drawing, still life, and imaginative work.

Each lesson provides guidance while encouraging creativity, curiosity, and personal expression—helping students grow their skills and confidence with every drawing.

During class, your child will:

  • Draw with pencils, markers, charcoal, and other exciting materials
  • Learn foundational drawing skills through guided, engaging projects
  • Practice drawing from observation and imagination
  • Explore shading, texture, proportion, and composition
  • Build confidence while developing their own creative style

No drawing experience is needed. All materials are included—just bring your imagination and a willingness to try something new.
