Are you ready to explore a new dimension of creativity? Join our Intro to Relief Printing Class for Adults and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of printmaking! This hands-on course is designed for adults of all experience levels!
Over the course of seven 90-minute sessions, participants will explore the full process of relief printmaking—from preparing various blocks (rubber and linoleum) to creating striking single and multi-color prints.
Students will learn best practices for image transfer—including using laser prints—and explore the unique characteristics of different block types. Through hands-on lessons, you’ll master safe and effective carving techniques, experiment with inking and hand-printing, and gain confidence in registration methods for layering colors.
The class culminates in creating and editioning your own multi-color relief prints. Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to build on previous experience, this course provides personalized instruction and a supportive studio environment that encourages creativity, skill development, and self-expression.
