Mixed Media Collage (Adults)

See paper—and everything else—in a new way.

Discover how everyday materials can be transformed into original works of art. Designed for both beginners and experienced makers, this 7-week course explores the creative possibilities of mixed media collage through guided projects, experimentation, and thoughtful design.

Using painted papers, magazines, book pages, photographs, and found materials, you'll learn how to combine images, texture, color, and composition into layered, expressive artwork. Along the way, you'll develop an eye for how elements interact—and how unexpected combinations can lead to compelling results.

Each class includes demonstrations, guided practice, and plenty of studio time to develop your own ideas while building confidence with a wide range of materials and techniques.

During class, you'll:

• Explore a variety of collage and mixed media techniques
• Learn to build strong compositions through layering and contrast
• Experiment with paper, paint, found objects, and image transfer
• Create finished mixed media artwork to take home
• Develop a personal approach through exploration and play

No experience is needed. All papers, paints, adhesives, tools, and mixed media materials are included.
