Sculpt and Create (Ages 7–10)

Roll it. Pinch it. Shape it. Bring your ideas to life.

Designed for young artists ages 7–10, this playful 7-week class introduces hand-built clay sculpture. Using air-dry clay, students will transform simple lumps of clay into imaginative animals, functional pottery, sculptures, and other one-of-a-kind creations.

Each week, students will explore a new project while learning core techniques like pinching, coiling, slab building, and surface design. Once their pieces have dried, students will paint and decorate them—bringing every creation to life with color and personality.

Each lesson provides guidance while encouraging creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving, helping students build skills and confidence with every project.

During class, your child will:

  • Learn hand-building techniques including pinching, coiling, and slab construction
  • Create sculptures, pottery, and imaginative clay projects
  • Explore texture, pattern, and surface design using a variety of clay tools
  • Paint and decorate finished pieces with colorful details
  • Build confidence while developing creativity, craftsmanship, and problem-solving skills

No experience is needed. All clay, tools, paints, and supplies are included.
