Wellness Through Art: Clay Building

Close your eyes and follow your hands.

What happens when you stop worrying about what your art looks like and simply pay attention to how it feels?

In this hands-on clay workshop, you’ll begin by creating a pinch pot with your eyes closed, letting your hands respond to the clay without worrying about making something perfect. Then we’ll open our eyes and continue exploring simple clay-building techniques, using touch, texture, and form to see where the material takes us.

We’ll begin with a brief guided relaxation, spend most of the session working with clay, and finish with a few quiet moments to reset before heading back into the day.

No art or clay experience is needed. This workshop is playful, tactile, and low-pressure—the goal isn’t perfection. It’s slowing down, paying attention, and enjoying the process of making something with your hands.
