Acrylic Painting 2

Ready to move beyond the basics and become more confident making your own paintings?

Acrylic Painting 2 is designed for adults who already have some experience with acrylic paint and want to continue developing their skills. Building on the fundamentals introduced in Acrylic Painting 1, this class takes a deeper look at color, composition, brushwork, layering, and the decisions that turn an idea into a finished painting.

Throughout the seven weeks, students will work on increasingly challenging paintings while learning how to plan a composition, mix colors more intentionally, create depth and dimension, develop light and shadow, and use different brushwork and painting techniques to achieve the effects they want.

Students will explore subjects such as landscapes, still life, and abstraction while beginning to move beyond simply following a demonstration. Projects provide guidance and structure while leaving room for individual choices, experimentation, and personal style.
