Experience the magic of paper marbling in this hands-on two-hour workshop.

You’ll float colors on the surface of a specially prepared marbling bath, manipulate them into swirling patterns, and then lay paper onto the surface to capture your design. The best part is lifting the paper and seeing what happened—every print is different, and there’s always an element of surprise.

We’ll begin with a demonstration of the basic marbling process and a few traditional patterns. Then you’ll have plenty of time to experiment with different color combinations, tools, and techniques while creating your own collection of decorative papers.

Use your finished papers for bookbinding, cards, collage, gift wrapping, framed artwork—or simply keep them as works of art on their own.

During the workshop you'll:

• Learn the basics of traditional paper marbling
• Float and manipulate colors on a marbling bath
• Experiment with combs and other tools to create different patterns
• Explore your own color combinations and designs
• Pull multiple one-of-a-kind marbled papers to take home

No experience is necessary. This workshop is designed for beginners, and all materials are provided.

Come ready to experiment. You won't know exactly what you've made until you lift the paper from the water.
